As an administrator, you can allow hosts to designate a cohost or an alternate host in Webex Meetings and Webex Events. Hosts can then have that person or a video system user start the meeting in their place if they’re running late or can’t attend. Only Webex host account holders on your site can be designated as a cohost or alternate host.
How do I add cohosts to a WebEx Meeting?
To designate specific attendees as cohosts, select Make this attendee a cohost. Only users with accounts in your Webex site and have host licenses can be made a cohost when you schedule a meeting. If you don’t see this option, go to Step 5 and select Let me choose cohosts for this meeting.

If you are not able to attend one of your Webex meetings, you can designate an alternate host to take over the host role for you. An alternate host must be someone with a Webex Meetings host account at UW Madison. You can designate one or multiple alternate host for a single meeting, or for a series of reoccurring meetings.
One way to think about this is When you make someone else the host of a Webex scheduled meeting or Personal Room meeting in Webex, you’re letting them: While in a meeting, you can assign a new host and either stay in the meeting or leave. To make someone else the host and stay in the meeting, go to the participants list .
How do I share a WebEx session with multiple participants?
Drag the Web. Ex ball from the last presenter to the next presenter. If you are viewing participant thumbnails, mouse over a thumbnail and select Make Presenter. If you are sharing in full screen mode, mouse over the docked tray at the top of your screen, select Assign > Make Presenter, then select a participant.
What happens if the host drops out of the meeting/event?
If the Host drops out of the Meeting/Event either purposefully or without warning due to technical problems, the session will not end.
