Microsoft has announced the start of the end of life program for the integration of Skype for Business with third-party audio conferencing providers (ACPs). The end of life program will conclude on July 31, 2021.
Microsoft on Thursday issued yet another reminder to organizations that Skype for Business Online will be ending on July 31, 2021, and they should be moving to Microsoft Teams. It’s just latest of several such warnings from Microsoft, with the last notable one appearing in January.
Microsoft announces end-of-life date for Skype for Business Online: July 2021. Microsoft has announced that it is retiring the Skype for Business Online service, giving users until the end of July, 2021 to continue using it (via ZDNet). After this date, the online version of Skype for Business will no longer be available for users.
When is skype ending?
The end of life program will conclude on July 31, 2021. When the program concludes, the integration of Skype for Business with third-party audio conferencing providers will stop working and the following changes will be observed on that date (July 31, 2021):.
After July 31, 2021, users can continue to use Skype for Business with no interruption to their online meetings ; however, organizations will need to enable their users for Audio Conferencing provided by Microsoft if they require dial-in audio conferencing with Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams.
