Coupons and promo codes will appear inside Edge as an alert when you’re shopping online, and they can be automatically applied to a basket when you’re ready to check out. The coupons feature also includes price comparisons, so if you’re shopping online, Edge can surface different retailers that might offer items at lower prices.
While writing we ran into the query “How do coupons work in Microsoft Edge?”.
Microsoft is adding a new coupons feature to its Edge browser today. Coupons and promo codes will appear inside Edge as an alert when you’re shopping online, and they can be automatically applied to a basket when you’re ready to check out.
Coupons are a great way to save money, but they often require a lot of work to find the right ones at the right time. That’s why we’re excited to announce our new coupons feature in Microsoft Edge (starting in build 86.0.622.61), which we hope will make it faster and easier to save money with built-in coupons.
Does Microsoft’s price comparison tool work with coupons?
As we mentioned when Microsoft first added a price comparison tool to Edge last month, much of the shopping functionality it’s baking into Edge is already available through third-party extensions. The new coupon functionality you can replicate with tools like Honey.
How to use Microsoft Edge to save money?
If you’ve already found the place where what you want is at its most affordable, Edge will let you know that too. That same icon will also allow you to take advantage of Edge’s new coupon feature. When you visit a new website, the browser will let you know if there any coupons you can use to save some cash.
Here is what we learned. i’d give Edge a shot if every machine that has Windows on it didn’t try to a) pre-install it and make it uninstallable, and b) embed pop-up ads in the operating system to continuously try to push it.
On top of that I think the UI is also better looking and more in line with the rest of Windows 10’s design. It also has an actually good PDF reader, while Chrome’s reader is not trash but it still not very good. I believe if people actually tried Edge without being biased they’d like it just as much as Chrome if not better.
