You can make changes to any message that you’ve posted to Yammer, no matter what type of message it is or content it contains. Find your post that you want to edit. At the bottom of the post, click Edit. Edit is only available on your own posts. Tip: To delete a post, select the More icon, and then click Delete .

Editing a post is not available for Yammer external groups. The ability to change attachments (files and images) is not currently supported.
How do I create a Yammer community?
To create a community, you just need to click the My Communities tab at the side of the page in Yammer. Then, click Create a Community . How do I edit my own posts?
You can only edit your own posts in groups or private messages in the browser and mobile app (eventually everyone will get the mobile app). You will not be able to edit what document you attached to a post, you can only edit text in the post. You can only edit regular posts, praises and announcements.
If your post is the reply to a conversation starter, go to the More options ellipsis at the bottom of the post, open it, and click Edit. Tip : To delete a post starter or comment, select the More or More options icon, and then click Delete. Make the changes that you want to your post and click Save. Edited appears at the top of the post or reply.
