Does google voice accept text?

Google Voice will allow you text online, through your Google number, even when your phone dies. A question we ran across in our research was “Does google voice accept text messages?”.

For Voice for Google Workspace accounts managed by your work or school, text messaging is available only in the US. You can send text messages using your Google Voice number for free to US and Canadian numbers (excluding the US territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands).

Then, can I send text messages from Google Voice to my phone?
