By default, attachments, extensions, and configuration files are stored in the Confluence Home Directory that is configured when Confluence is first installed. All remaining data resides in the configured database. Optionally, attachments can be configured to be stored in the database instead of the Confluence home directory.
See Configuring Logging for more information. Click Edit to modify the configuration. Select Locally in Confluence home directory. Click Save to save the changes. A screen will appear, asking you to confirm your changes.
Where are confluence logs and plugins stored?
Confluence’s application logs are stored in this directory. All Confluence plugins are stored in the database. To allow for quicker access to classes contained within the plugin JARs, Confluence will cache these plugins in the plugin-cache directory.
For files within a space in Confluence, the directory structure is typically 8 levels, with the name of each directory level based on the following algorithm: The least significant 3 digits of the content id of the page the file is attached to, modulo 250.
How does auto save work in confluence?
When this feature is turned ON, Confluence autosaves both drafts and unpublished changes every 30 seconds as the default interval. Regardless if you were interrupted, navigated away from or accidentally closed the Confluence editor tab, your content is retained for you to resume editing when you’re ready.
You have to scroll down in a (in my case :)) long list of recently worked on pages. This way you loose track of older drafts that still might need some updating and publishing. In the old Confluence experience you had an easy button called ‘drafts’ which gives you an immediate overview of all your drafts.
Confluence saves a draft of your page once every thirty seconds by default . Confluence administrators can configure how often drafts are saved. To set the time interval at which drafts are saved: Click Further Configuration in the left-hand panel. Edit the setting for Draft Save Interval.
