Slack has a pretty good record when it comes to data breaches. In March 2015, when the company had just half a million daily people using it was hacked and some user data was compromised. Since then, no other hacks have been reporter.
Another thing we wondered was, what is Slack’s privacy policy and why is it so controversial?
Slack caused a bit of a panic last week when it warned users of updates that could allow employers to access and download conversations — including those sent via direct message or in private channels. In an email, Slack noted the changes to both its Privacy Policy and a preexisting tool for exporting user data.
Is slack website down?

ET, potentially leaving millions of people frantically working out how they communicate with their colleagues. According to Down Detector, the problems started at 8.53 a., and m. ET and are also affecting Github.
Is slack currently down?
Slack went gone down in the US and parts of Europe Monday, with users saying they were unable to send or receive messages. The outage hit around 9:30am ET, but has since been fixed.
This begs the inquiry “Why is my slack not connecting?”
Make sure that you’re on the latest version of the Slack desktop app. If not, update your app .. If you’re having trouble with calls on the desktop app, open your workspace in Google Chrome and try making a call. If calls aren’t connecting from the desktop app or browser, try starting a call from the Slack mobile app on the same Wi-Fi network.
