Is Microsoft Teams a separate installation from 365 apps?
In the past, Microsoft Teams was a separate installation from Microsoft 365 Apps. But starting with Version 1902, Teams is included as part of new installations of Microsoft 365 Apps. If Teams is already installed on the device, no changes are made to that installation of Teams. Teams is also being added to existing installations.
An easier way to install MS Teams is to install the Teams Installer on every computer. The Teams Installer is placed in the Program Files folder and will run automatically when a new user logs in to the computer. It will then install Teams in the user-profile folder. You can also deploy the MSI file with a Group Policy.
