To use Google or another search engine as your default in Microsoft’s modern Edge browser, click the menu button (three dots) found in the top-right corner and then select “Settings.” In the Settings tab, click “Privacy, Search, and Services” in the sidebar.
Does Microsoft Edge have browser extensions?

Does the new Microsoft Edge support translation?
The new Microsoft Edge supports translation for more than 60 languages. The browser will automatically prompt you to translate a webpage when when the page you’re opening is in a language other than those listed under your preferred languages in settings. Open a webpage in Microsoft Edge.
A query we ran across in our research was “Will microsoft edge translate pages?”.
Microsoft Edge uses the Microsoft Translate online service to translate web pages. Like other features dependent on online services in Edge, this feature can be disabled. If it is, you won’t see an option to translate foreign-language web pages.
If you do not see a left pane, then either click/tap on the 3 bars menu button towards the top left OR widen the horizontal borders of the Microsoft Edge window until you do. The Offer to translate pages in this language setting will not be available if Offer to translate pages that aren’t in a language I read is not turned on in Option One.
The default is the language you’ve set for Microsoft Edge. To translate the page, click Translate. To always automatically translate from the source language, select the Always translate from [Language] check box.

Can I use chrome and edge together on Windows 10?
Edge is the browser that comes as part of Windows 10, rest assured, you can safely run Chrome and Edge together on your PC and you can continue using Chrome as your default web browser after installing Edge.
This only works in the new Edge browser that dumps Microsoft’s old rendering engine in favor of Chromium, which forms the basis for Google Chrome. Chrome gets better battery life and the new Edge gets Chrome extensions.
