By default, Lightroom places its Catalogs in My Pictures folder (Windows). To find them, go to C: Users [USER NAME]My Pictures, and lightroom. If you’re a Mac user, Lightroom will place its default Catalog in [USER NAME]Pictures, and lightroom folder.
Another frequently asked query is “Where are my Lightroom catalog files?”.

Where is the backup of my Lightroom catalog stored?
By default the backup of your catalog will be stored in the same location as your Lightroom catalog in a folder called Backups. You can check this location when next prompted to backup your catalog by clicking the Show button in the Back Up Catalog dialog.

At any time you can go and find the photos on your hard drive. And don’t worry, you won’t be moving your photos anywhere by opening and using Lightroom. Your Lightroom Catalog can be stored anywhere on your computer or even on an external drive.
How do I move a Lightroom catalog to another computer?
In the Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac OS), copy or move the catalog., and lrcat, catalog., and lrcat-data, previews. Lrdata, and (if present) Smart Previews. Lrdata files to the new location. Double-click the . lrcat file in the new location to open it in Lightroom Classic.
How many photos can you have in a Lightroom Classic catalog?
There’s no upper limit to the number of photos you can have in a catalog, and Lightroom Classic offers myriad ways to sort, filter, and otherwise organize and find photos within a catalog. For example, you can use folders, collections, keywords, labels, and ratings.
