Should I use lightroom or lightroom cc?

Lightroom CC will get more features and capabilities over time, but right now it is light. Whether you care about features that are in Classic but not in Lightroom CC will be a big determinant of whether Lightroom CC is for you in the short term. It has most tools that Lightroom Classic has for editing photos.

Which lightroom should I use?

Adobe calls Lightroom CC a “cloud-based editing service”. It includes cloud storage too. There’s no right or wrong version of Lightroom. It really depends on your needs and goals, but here at Contrastly, we do love Lightroom Classic CC since it is a much more powerful and feature-rich software.

Still, as of the date of this article, it is my very clear preference over it’s newer sibling, Lightroom CC. Lightroom Classic CC has more functionality than Lightroom CC. The younger sibling is still very much playing catchup to having all of the functions from the older.

Although there are three different Lightroom versions, they may be used together. Lightroom Classic CC offers automatic access to Lightroom CC with a subscription to Photography Creative Cloud. You will also get 20GB of cloud storage for originals .

Do you use Lightroom or Photoshop for image processing?

The second type of user carries out the bulk of their image processing in Lightroom. For tasks Lightroom can’t handle, they may use an older version of Photoshop, a less powerful program like Photoshop Elements, or a plug-in such as the Nik Collection or Perfect Photo Suite 9.

Should I upgrade to the newest version of Lightroom?
