This shouldn’t be surprising as Bing is owned by Microsoft, but users are free to dive into the settings to change it to Yahoo or Google or something else. However, in the latest update to Edge, it seems that Microsoft is constantly bugging users to switch the default search back to Bing.

When you type a search term into the address bar at the top of a Web browser it will use its default search engine to make the search. Use these steps to switch from Bing to Google in the Microsoft Edge browser. Click the three dots at the top-right. Select the Privacy, search, and services tab. Scroll down and select the Address bar and search option. Click the dropdown menu next to Search engine used in the address bar and select Google.

How to switch to Google on edge?
We found this on a Microsoft Community forum post: Open Microsoft Edge and click on the three dots from top right corner. Select Settings from the dropdown. Click on Cookies and Site permission from the left pane. Select the arrow beside Pop-ups and redirects. Under Block add the Google website. Go back to Site permission and select the arrow beside Ads. Toggle the switch to On.
