Google Pixel 6 Release Date Much like the i. Phone 13’s release date, the Google Pixel 6’s release appears pretty easy to predict. Every one of Google’s flagship phones has released in mid-to-late October. This means it’s likely that the Google Pixel 6 will also launch in October 2021.
Google says it’s promising at least five years of security updates, up from three. Pixel 6 will only get three years of Android OS updates, but Google says it’s continuing its Pixel Feature Drops, where the company adds new features every quarter.

Does google pixel still get updates?
Pixel phones receive regular software updates that include security enhancements, new features, operating system updates, bug fixes, and more. If you bought your device from the Google Store, updates will typically reach your device within 2 weeks. If you bought your device elsewhere, updates can take longer.
If the duration is longer, Pixel 3, Pixel 2, and Pixel (2016) phones get security updates for at least 18 months from when the Google Store last sold the device. Refurbished Pixel 3 phones sold through the Google Store get software updates until October 2021 only; the 18-month software update guarantee (from date of sale) doesn’t apply.
The company did something similar with the original Google Pixel, which also stopped receiving updates in December last year. To be clear, people who own a Pixel 2 will still be able to use their phones after the final December update. They will just have to do so knowing that they won’t receive any future security patches or new Android versions.
