So there are no public photos on Google Photos. Yes, there is link sharing, but more on that later. Today’s Google Photos are very different from the original Picassa.

Where are my google photos saved?
If you shared the photos with their via Google Photos App, all photos exist as a shared album in the cloud of Google Photos, not in the app on mobile. Then, if you clicked the “save” button above the picture, those photos are saved in your Google Photos library of the cloud (in your Google account), not in the storage of mobile.

How to access Google Photos from Google Drive?
All you have to do is turn the option for Google Drive on in the settings for Google Photos. With that turned on, all the photos and videos from your Google Photos account will also be accessible from your Drive. All your media will be saved in the folder named Google Photos, saved in the root location of your Drive account.
