Google Forms does not support dynamic calculations, but you can use Formfacade for calculating and displaying calculated values in your form. For example, you can calculate the total amount in order form based on the price and order quantity entered by the user.
If a users has made multiple form submissions, a formula can help you determine the total number of entries made by a user as soon as they submit a form. In this step by step guide, you’ll learn how to add formulas to Google Sheets that are associated with Google Forms.
Why are google forms good?
Google Forms are great for conducting internal surveys as well if you are using Google Workspace in the organization. That’s because Google Docs can automatically record the email addresses of people (your employees) who fill out the form. You can also have anonymous surveys inside Google Apps.
Here are a bunch of settings that make Google Forms much more powerful. Go ahead and make a new form, and then click the gear icon in the top-right corner. We’ll go over a few of the best features hidden inside that icon, then move on to a few other things you should know about.
One more inquiry we ran across in our research was “What do you use Google Forms for?”.
Google Forms was used by myself for creating surveys for one of my research projects. I also use it for my clubs and for class work . These forms are normally used to connect people for housing, ride share, etc. Users can enter their “needs” and it will be submitted into a spreadsheet.
This is useful because people can respond anonymously and because people don’t need a Google account to fill out your form. The downside: you can’t confirm who provided which answers, and people could in theory submit the form multiple times.

It can be useful when you are using Google Forms for invoicing. For customer order forms, a formula can be written in Google Sheets to calculate the total amount based on the item selection, the country (tax rates are different) and the quantity selected in the form.
