While most personal use will likely cover photos and notes, for businesses, Google Docs often means storing sensitive business information, intellectual property, client data and other important files. If the security of Google Drive or Docs were to be compromised in any way, it could result in serious damage for any business, small or large.
Yet another question we ran across in our research was “How safe is Google Docs?”.
Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides documents may not have an option for individual password protection, but they are still protected on Google’s servers. Unless you’ve shared them, other users can’t see your files without your Google Account username and password.

The federally approved product consists of a variety of cloud-based collaboration tools. According to the Fed. RAMP website, Google Workspace services such as Calendar, Docs, Drive, Forms and Gmail are now classified under Fed, and ramp high.
