Google Docs are great tools for collaborating with coworkers and colleagues, but can create some undesirable situations if sensitive information is inadvertently shared in an inappropriate manner.
While most personal use will likely cover photos and notes, for businesses, Google Docs often means storing sensitive business information, intellectual property, client data and other important files. Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides documents may not have an option for individual password protection, but they are still protected on Google’s servers. Unless you’ve shared them, other users can’t see your files without your Google Account username and password.

Create Google Accounts with an obscure user name i., and e. Non dictionary and something that no one is likely to associate with you. Use a strong password i., and e. Activate 2 factor authentication. Do NOT use these accounts for emailing, subscribe to newsletters, sign up for services etc. Do NOT synch these accounts on your phone.
How to protect Google Docs files and ensure privacy?
Open the chosen document file in the docs., and google., and com menu. Click the SHARE button on the right-top corner of the page. Select Advanced to find the Who has access list. Click X to remove those with unwanted access to the file or click Change… to adjust sharing settings. Choose the desired settings, click Save and then click Done.
