How to Make a Landscape Google Doc
First, open the Google Doc you wish to adjust. Via the top left corner, click ‘File’ and then ‘Page setup.’
On the next dialog, under ‘Orientation,’ choose ‘Landscape.’
Click ‘Ok,’ and you’re all good to go.
In your browser, open Google Docs. Select the type of document you wish to create. In the menu above the document page, click “File”. From the dropdown menu, select “Page setup”. The page setup menu will appear in a pop-up window. Choose the page orientation by ticking the checkbox beside “Landscape”. Click “OK” to save.

Update April 14, 2021, 10:45 AM PDT: The Engineering Team has confirmed that these issues are caused by an extension (mostly ad-blockers but some others as well) and that the fix is to disable the extension until the extension author is able to update it. You may be able to white-list Google Docs and resolve the issue as well.
