Scrolling in Youtube should be 120hz not the video playback. For now you can use the autohz app on the play store to force it to 120hz scrolling. However if you watch a video and go back to scrolling it will likely return to 60hz. If that happens just use put the app in the background and return to it and scrolling will return to 120hz.
Do you also notice that in 120hz mode – several apps still only run in 60fps. I just noticed youtube being one of them – and I dont mean on fullscreen, playing a video – but just “browsing” the listings.. It is visibly choppier (60fps) There is no single 120fps video on Youtube, all are capped to 60fps or less, as far as I know and checked.
You should be asking “Does Youtube support 120fps video playback?”
, you Tube currently supports up to 60fps HD video playback on Chrome and Safari. If you upload a 120fps video to You. Tube, it will be converted to 60fps automatically. It doesn’t make much sense to support 120fps . If you are interested in You. Tube 120fps video playback, here’s a test.
Why does my screen flash from 120Hz to 60Hz when watching YouTube?
120hz and 60hz has different gamma tables and tuning, they’re trying to match them up. You can observe sudden flash on the screen when the screen switches over from 120 to 60 upon entering youtube.. (because the tint shifts I guess).
Is YouTube choppy on 60fps compared to 120fps?
But when you are “browsing” the youtube app, scrolling through videos, it’s awfully choppy 60fps compared to 120fps as it “should be” in 120hz mode. F7Kev and F1580379346651 like this. No, as I mentioned, it *isn’t* when im watching an actual video – that’s fine (60fps at best).
