By default, a system image only includes the drives that Windows requires to run, including Windows 10 itself, your system settings, programs, and files. You may also include any other drive in the image if you wish.

Please let me know what I am missing. I don’t use Windows System Image – but most image programs will image the entire contents of the drive – except the o/s auxilliary files ( pagefile and hibernation file) and shadow copies ( restore points). That makes it quite a bit smaller.
