Each Smartsheet that you open in the program appears as a tab in the window even though they are not contained in a single Smartsheet. You could try organizing all your files in a folder or a shared workspace and then close all open sheets (tabs) then navigate to the HOME tab and open only those sheets in the folder that you want to see and flip between.
Once the sheets are imported to your account, you can use cell linking to link cells between sheets. Yes, multiple tabs for Smartsheets are essential – even if it is limited to 5-10 tabs. It is the one most annoying feature about Smartsheet that always makes me want to use Excel.
Is Smartsheet easy to use?
Smartsheet has a relatively simple user interface. This makes it easy for anybody to learn it, especially if you have Microsoft Excel experience. The tool’s design is also very clean and professional. Some may consider this boring, but at least it won’t distract you from your work!
