Does notion have a storage limit?

On all Free Plans inside of Notion, you have a limit of 1,000 blocks (elements), unlimited members and a 5MB limit on file uploads. This is the case across the board (no pun intended).

Because Notion syncs across devices, your files are available anywhere at any time — and considering Notion is as flexible as a rubber band, you can use it to build your own custom version of a cloud storage solution like Dropbox, which currently doesn’t offer an unlimited membership. You will need to upload the files manually though.

Is there a block limit for notion users?

There is no more block limit for all Notion users, except when using the Team Plan in trial mode . You just need to upgrade or downgrade to a formal plan, and the limit will be cancelled.

Is notion free to use?

Notion, the workspace and note-taking app, just became much more appealing to individual users. The company said today that people on its free plan will now be able to create unlimited notes, making it a top contender for anyone in the market for a sophisticated note-taking app or collaboration software.

(The company introduced a free version for students and teachers last fall .) “The biggest motivation is just capturing market share — getting more people to use Notion,” says Akshay Kothari, Notion’s chief operating officer. Notion has intended to make the personal plan free since last year, said Ivan Zhao, Notion’s CEO.

Why is notion’s free personal plan delayed?

The company does not disclose user numbers, but says it is “seeing record signups every day” — sometimes double the pre-pandemic volume, Zhao said.

How much does it cost to store files on notion?

For $4 per month you can store as many files as you want on Notion’s servers — again, these can be accessed from anywhere, on any device, at any time. You could upload 2TB of files, or more, tomorrow, at no added cost. Storing that same amount of data in Dropbox would set you back $10 per month.

While the basic plan will become free, Notion will also introduce a paid personal plan with premium features. The plan, which will cost $5 a month or $48 a year, includes unlimited file size uploads, unlimited guests, version history, priority customer service and access to tools that take advantage of Notion’s forthcoming API.

Does notion have access to my notes?

Due to the lack of end-to-end encryption, Notion has access to your notes. They see everything. In good faith, we trust that the employees at Notion who have access to our data won’t abuse it, but why take the risk? If Notion insists on storing our notes on their servers (which they do), they should at least encrypt it.

Note-taking app Notion has announced that it is removing the storage limit on its free plan, allowing users to create unlimited notes with full access to its productivity tools. Previously, users of Notion’s free plan could create 1,000 entries or ‘blocks’ and after that, they were required to pay $5 per month to create new blocks.
