Does google drive auto delete?

Next month, Google Drive will automatically delete files and folders placed in the trash after 30 days. Starting October 13, 2020, we’re changing the retention policies for items in the Trash in Google Drive. With this new policy, any file that is put into a Google Drive trash will be automatically deleted after 30 days.

How long does Google Drive keep deleted files for?

This question came from our site for computer enthusiasts and power users. Since this question was asked, Google Drive has added a “Trash” feature. Items deleted from the Web or your hard drive will go to Trash and stay there for 30 days, unless you specifically delete them from there.

Because from October 13 onwards, all the data kept in that folder will be deleted after every 30 days. This means, after the 30-day-period the files will be automatically deleted. Google is making this change to trash so that it behaves more consistently with other Google applications.
