When students submit an assignment in Google Classroom the date and time is recorded in the submission history. Students have the ability to unsubmit assignments. Unsubmissions are also recorded in the Google Classroom submission history.

Google Classroom doesn’t tell us what time you uploaded the assignment, but it does tell us the assignment was late. This is actually worse than if it told us it was one minute late, because for all we know it was hours late. However, Google Classroom also sends us an email with the exact time that your assignment was uploaded.
