What happened to Google Earth for VR?

‎11-24-202010:10 PM Unfortunately Google have abandoned VR and mostly abandoned Google Earth (they only want the web browser version around, they don’t seem to like the desktop or VR versions).

Google Earth has been running on smart phones for at least the past 10 years.

This begs the inquiry “Why doesn’t Google make a quest version of Google Earth?”

One source stated so even if the Quest 2 could run it (it could, at least at lower quality terrain detail, if Google put some effort into optimising), Google wouldn’t be interested in making a Quest version. They never even made a version for their own Daydream platform.

Yeah google earth vr, is only on the link via oculus app on the pc. You can try wander which is a psuedo google earth vr, for the quest. But google earth vr is too much for the quest to do locally.

How do I open Google Earth on Windows 7?

Windows 7: – Go to “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Earth\client” and find googleearth. Exe – Right click on googleearth. Exe and choose “create shortcut” – Move a copy of that shortcut to your desktop and a copy to “C:\Program. Data\Start Menu\Programs\Google Earth” folder.

Navigate to the Library, then to Application support, then Google Earth, and finally locate the file myplaces., and kmlfile. (The path should read User/Library/Application support/Google Earth/myplaces. kml). This is the latest file that was successfully saved, and the file you will want to move to your new computer.
