If you have a different Chromecast model, on your mobile device, open the Home app tap your Chromecast Settings Device information Wi-Fi. You can usually check the Wi-Fi network of your mobile device in its Settings app. If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, make sure your Chromecast is on the 5 GHz network.
General troubleshooting
Reboot the following devices:
Turn Wi-Fi off and on from the mobile device you’re using to set up the Chromecast device. If you have a dual band router, try setting up Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands. Perform a factory reset. Factory reset your Chromecast.
Contact the Chromecast Support Team for assistance. If you’re able to see your Wi-Fi network listed in the Google Home app during setup, but you can’t connect your Chromecast or Chromecast built-in device to the network and complete the setup process, try these steps. Chromecast is powered on and plugged into a wall outlet.
Why is my Chromecast not showing up in Google Home app?
Your Chromecast is not discoverable in the Google Home app. The Google Home app says your Chromecast is offline. The TV says your Chromecast is offline. To improve your Chromecast connection and performance, try these steps: Make sure your mobile devices and Chromecast are on the same Wi, and fi network.

The mobile device, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi. Fi network as your Chromecast. You must be running the latest version of the Chromecast-enabled app.
How do I connect my Chromecast to my TV?
If you have a Chromecast with Google TV, at the top right of your TV screen, select your account icon select Settings Network & Internet. If you have a different Chromecast model, on your mobile device, open the Home app tap your Chromecast Settings Device information Wi-Fi.
To set up your standard Chromecast device: First, plug one end of the provided USB cable into your Chromecast device, and the other end into the provided power adapter. Then, connect your Chromecast device to an HDMI port on your TV. Lastly, plug the power adapter into your power outlet.
Why does my Chromecast stick out of the back of TV?

The Chromecast device is within 15 – 20 ft of the mobile device or tablet you’re using to set it up. Has the Chromecast device been connected to this network before? Were there any recent changes to your network?
