Is Bing a bad search engine?
So it’s really not that Bing is a bad search engine or a crappy search engine; it is that Bing is a small search engine, compared to Google.
Both Google and Bing are equally safe to use, as a search engine does not serve malware nor carry any notable security risks. However, visiting a non-encrypted website from a search engine may cause many problems.
Google killed Bing by NOT trying to provide the best possible search results. Of course, to hear Googlers talk about their search engine, they always put quality first but their idea of quality is more quotidian than Microsoft’s. I used to see people complain about not being able to get their sites indexed in Bing all the time.
Why do people hate Bing so much?
Microsoft has also managed to turn Bing from a money pit that in some years posted billions of dollars in operating losses into a business that Microsoft says is profitable. Reddit generally has a very negative opinion of MS, which may be leading you to believe Bing is more hated than it is in the world outside of reddit.

How bad is Bing on BlackBerry?
My Blackberry came with Bing as the default search engine. After using it on my phone for the last several months, I must confess Bing is absolutely terrible. The maps are terrible, the search results are terrible, everything is terrible. I can’t believe how bad it actually is. They are so far behind Google it’s not even close.
