You should have a valid source of funds, such as credit or debit cards, linked to your Google Pay account in order to successfully proceed with the payment. If you have everything properly set up, paying online with Google Pay is very quick and easy.

To use Google Pay (or any contactless payment method) in-store, make sure the retailer has a contactless-enabled point-of-sale system. Look for a sideways Wi. Fi icon, or the Google Pay logo near the card reader.

How do I know if my card is in Google Pay?

Google Pay wants to know your location so it can notify you when you’re in a place that accepts Google Pay or uses your loyalty cards. What happens to my payment method if I uninstall Google Pay?
Important: When you set up contactless payments in the Google Pay app, your payment method automatically adds to your Android device settings.
