Why does google pay not work?
Step 1: Check your contactless payment set up
Set up a contactless payment method. NFC turned on. In the “Search settings” bar, type “NFC.” Make sure NFC is turned on. If your phone doesn’t have NFC, it can’t make contactless payments. Some foreign devices and even some batteries are not CTS compatible. Both malware and spyware can register as rooting when you try to install, and Google Pay won’t install and/or work for security reasons. You’ll want it off your phone anyway, but it’s also a way to fix Android/Google Pay that isn’t working.
Why can’t I use Google Pay in stores?
Google Pay might not work in stores with phones that: Run developer versions of Android. Are rooted, run a custom ROM, or have modified factory software. Due to security risks, Google Pay doesn’t run on these phones. Are untested and haven’t been approved by Google.

How do I use Google Pay in other countries?
It’s only available in countries that support Google Pay, however. Open the Google Pay app and add a credit or debit card within Cards tab. If it’s your first time using the app, tap Get Started, then select a payment method to add, and take a photo of your card or enter your information.
How do I report a problem with Google Pay?
The customer can review the troubleshooting section of the Google Pay Help Center for device help, and contact their bank by calling the phone number on the back of their credit or debit card. If customers using Google Pay are unable to complete an Google Pay purchase but other NFC payment options are working, contact us to report the issue.
