Visio isn’t included in the Office suite, but is sold as a stand-alone application. If you don’t have Visio you can buy or try it now. Only some versions of Visio include the desktop app. If you have Visio Plan 2 or a non-subscription version such as Visio Professional or Visio Standard 2019, 2016, or 2013 you can install and use the desktop app.
A common question we ran across in our research was “Should Visio be part of office pro?”.
One source claimed that i agree, Visio should be part of Office Pro, flowcharting is an integral part of today’s business operations. To simply state “because it’s always been that way” is a rude and immature answer to a real question.
Yet another query we ran across in our research was “Does visio come with office?”.
Visio is part of the Microsoft Office family, but it is not included in the basic Office 365 packages. You have to pay an extra fee to use it regularly, but you can include Visio in your free trial and see if it is useful to you. NOTE: It is no longer possible to try Visio as described below.
Is Visio subscription included in the office subscription?

How do I install Microsoft Visio on my computer?
From the Office home page select Install Office. In the account., and microsoft. Com portal, select Services and subscriptions from the header. Locate the version of Visio you want to install and select Install. If you have multiple Office products you may have to scroll through the list of products associated with this Microsoft account.
