Microsoft Access is now included as part of Microsoft 365 Family or Personal, Microsoft 365 Apps for business and Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscriptions. How soon you’ll see Access as part of your installation depends upon the Microsoft 365 update channel your admin designated for your subscription.
Is Microsoft Access included in Office 365?
Database applications are business applications, and Access should be included in all business and enterprise Office 365 subscriptions, without exception. Microsoft has dropped the ball on this one and should take immediate steps to rectify the situation.

Please check the following table to compare the available of Microsoft Access across plans (Microsoft 365) and volume licensed editions of Microsoft Office 2013 and Office 2016.
Access is now included in all the plans that allow for installed versions of Office applications, including: Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Business Premium, Apps for Business, Apps for Enterprise as well as Office 365 E3 and E5. However, there is only a PC version of Access.
This begs the query “When will access be added to my Microsoft 365 installation?”
For Access users with Microsoft 365 on the Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel, you’ll see Access added to your installation in June 2017. To find out what update channel you’re on with Microsoft 365, go to File > Account within one of the desktop applications.
Is Microsoft Access 2016 included in Office 365 Business?
In fact, Access 2016 is not included with any of the Office 365 Business subscriptions. Access is not even included in Office 365 E1 or Office 365 Pro Plus enterprise subscriptions. If you want Microsoft Access 2016 in your enterprise, you have to opt for the full Office 365 E3 subscription (Figure A).
