A Trello Workspace is like a digital office : it’s where collaboration is happening in real time, no matter where your teammates are located. A Trello Workspace brings organization and control to your projects. All boards you create will live inside a Workspace.
Trello Teams are now Workspaces. Soon, all boards will be in a Workspace. You might see us mention Teams in a few places as we’re going through these changes. Thanks for your patience! Each Trello Workspace has its own Workspace Overview, which shows you the Workspace’s boards, members, and settings.
You should be wondering “Is it possible to have multiple workspaces in Trello?”
You can see workspace the same as personal board. What is interesting in Trello help article: Free workspacescan have up to 10 open boards (count does not include closed boards). Business Class and Enterprises can have unlimited boards in their workspaces. You are able to create multiple workspaces on the free plan.
How do I migrate a Trello board to a workspace?
Admin permissions: You must be an admin of a personal board to migrate it to a Workspace. If another user is the admin of a personal board, it would be their responsibility to migrate it. The personal boards section on the Trello Home page. If all boards are already in a Workspace (s), there will be no migration required.

Log into the account you’re transferring boards from. Go to https://trello., and com/support/transfer-boards. Make sure to enter the correct username or email address for the account you’re transferring boards to. Select the boards you’d like to transfer. If you’d like the original account to be removed from the boards, select Remove your account @X from boards after they’ve been transferred to @Y. Once you click on the Transfer Boards button, the new account will be added as a member to the boards.
The Wizard will guide users to move their personal boards into existing or newly created Workspace (s). However, all users can choose to move personal boards into Workspaces without the Wizard, or let Trello migrate them automatically. You may notice Team is still shown in some places throughout Trello and our help articles.
How do I edit my workspace details in Trello?
“Edit Workspace details” will only show up if you are an admin of the Workspace, and “Export” and “Billing” only show up if you are an admin of a Workspace with Trello Premium. I f you’re an administrator of a Workspace, you can edit your Workspace’s details by clicking “Edit Workspace details” at the top.
What happens when the admin of a Trello workspace leaves?
When there is only one admin of a Workspace and that person leaves or is no longer using Trello, there is a loss of continuity in administering the Workspace in Trello. While this situation is not ideal, you have several options to reclaim ownership of the Workspace, the boards, and/or the data on the boards. Upgrade to Standard or Premium.
What can you do with Trello?
Whether you’re using Trello by yourself or collaboratively, you can create a workspace for all of your different endeavors. For example, if you’re a solopreneur or a freelancer, you can create a workspace for your different streams of work, or just have one workspace with boards for different projects.
