To check the version of Logic Pro you have, open the application and choose About Logic Pro from the Logic Pro menu. Select the Logic Pro application in the Applications folder.
10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7 and 10.4.8 need at least High Sierra (OS 10.13), and the latest Logic Pro X version ( 10.5.0 ), (released last week) only runs on Mojave and later (OS 10.14 and later). UPDATE: Logic Pro 10.6 is now out. It is optimized for the new M1 Macs (it also runs on Intel Macs).

There will not be an 11 ever, as 10 (X) is part of the brand name, like Mac OS X. So if Apple ever abandon that “X” thing, they may rename Logic Pro – but not to Logic Pro 11. And since LP X now exists for over 7 years, it probably will still exist in the coming 5 to 15 to 35 years. So waiting for Logic Pro 11 could mean waiting forever.
