What is logic pro in macbook?

Logic Pro turns your Mac into a professional recording studio able to handle even the most demanding projects. Create and arrange music in real time and quickly build beats and melodies. I use a 2012 Macbook Air 13 ” with Logic Pro X without any problems (1.8, 4GB, 128GB SSD). However my usage is pretty basic: 10-20 tracks of audio with 2-3 plugins each and no synths or virtual instruments. I use an external display when in my studio. I recorded my whole album on this machine using a Tascam US-1800 via USB.

Another common query is “Is a MacBook Pro better than a Logic Pro for production?”.

How can Logic Pro help you?

As your song develops, Logic Pro helps you organize all your ideas and select the best ones. Group related tracks, audition alternate versions, and consolidate multiple tracks. Lightning-fast click-and-drag comping helps you build your best performance from multiple takes. Quickly manipulate the timing and tempo of your recording with Flex Time.

Just so you know, Logic really makes use of the quad core, if you’re using software plugins/effects etc. it makes a big difference. It’s hard to judge, but i mean that’s pretty much the same spec of the basic mac book pro which a lot of people use and it’s fine.

Is Logic Pro 2018 Mini good for music production?

I use Logic Pro and my 2018 mini has been great for music production. I expect the new mini will be even better, but obviously I won’t know for sure until I’m using it.

The Mac mini is desirable due to the ports, price point, M1 chip and small form factor. Or is this current M1 Mac a bit too early for music production and should I wait for the next iteration/desktop apple silicon?
